Charcoal Detox Face and Body Bar

I swim almost daily and I have tried many products over the years to eliminate the chlorine from my skin. Both the smell and the itch have been a tenacious irritant on my skin for years; it is just something that competitive swimmers reluctantly tolerate. Happily, I stumbled across Apple Valley Natural soap and your Charcoal Detox Bar. It is a miracle eraser of both the chlorine odor and the itch. The residual chlorine used to be so integrated into my skin that if I took a day off from my work out regimen, a regular shower would activate the odor and itch and the irritation would persist. The Charcoal Detox Bar has completely cleaned up my skin: no chlorine odor, no chlorine itch, no dryness; just clean, healthy skin. I am truly grateful now every time I shower after my swim practice that I know I have this soap in my tool kit for detoxing my skin of all that nasty chlorine. My workout bag will never be without (unless you stop making it ☹️)!

Sometimes when you try a new deodorant, especially a natural one, you may end up with a rash. Sometimes it's a reaction with your skin and the baking soda in the product (in that case, use vinegar to help neutralize the skin surface, then apply the deodorant). But other times, it's simply your body detoxing. In those cases, sometimes an underarm detox is recommended. I ended up with a rash after using another company's deodorant. (I had used the product for two months with no problem. Then, during a cleanse, out came the rash.) I suffered with this rash for a while. I had purchased the Charcoal Detox soap and found it was really good at detoxing the underarms. It worked to take away the rash and the smell. (Sometimes you go places where you can't wear deodorant. Oh. My. GOODNESS! I admit, I've been blessed with great skin my whole life. However, I know all the muck in the world still gets in there and even though I use "clean" make-up, there is probably some muck in there too! It really does detox your skin. My skin has been improving dramatically in the past few months. Much of it is due to diet changes but I would argue that this soap has externally aided my internal dietary changes in a huge way. I love how it smells and my skin always feels incredibly clean. Love it! Will continue to purchase for my daily skin care routine.

I love this bar for my face; it cleans my blackhead prone skin wonderfully. I'm seeing that I will not need as much powder makeup after using this product. The bar will last a long time!

We ordered the sample body bars and immediately my husband took the Charcoal Detox Body bar. He works outside and often has issues with his skin. When he was close to being finished with the sample bar, he asked for a full sized bar. This will definitely be a staple product for us.

I am so impressed with this facial bar. I've been using it for about three weeks now, but noticed within a few days how much clearer my face looked (especially my nose where I have had trouble with blackheads)! I also love the fact that this bar will last me a long time...it really is a great price for how many applications you get! It's going to last forever! Definitely will buy this bar again. There's just something magical about this bar that I adore. Maybe it's the subtle, yet clean scent. Maybe it's the beautiful, silky black color. Or maybe it's the effectiveness of this bar on my face. I washed my face with this and the excess oil was gone, the dirt was gone and my face was left smooth to the touch! I think charcoal is the answer to my oily skin and this bar is the perfect facial cleanser for it! I believe another order of this bar is in order.

I hate black licorice but I really love this bar! The scent is not very strong and actually is rather pleasant. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it!
