This is one of my favorite shampoo bars. I had purchased the large sample pack, but the Latte Brunette was a free sample and so far it is one of my top choices. I can't limit my top choices to a number, because many are so nice. I have also tried the Restore bar and like it a lot also. Both make my hair soft, shiny and manageable. The one suggestion I would make, that is not mentioned with any of the shampoo bars, is that it is helpful to use a little of your favorite conditioner when you shampoo. I also use the Vinegar Rinse periodically, but find using a little conditioner helps keeps static electricity at bay if you usually have the problem.

I wasn't sure how I would feel smelling slightly of coffee. I wasn't even sure I would smell it. But it's very suttle, along with the other ingredients. The sent actually smells slightly of perfume. It cleanses beautifully. Absolutely love it.

I loved this shampoo bar! It helped keep my hair dark for about 3 months after getting it dyed instead of just a few weeks like liquid shampoo does. The lather was great and the scent was even better. It helped my hair look and feel amazing. I will be buying more soon!

The lather is so luxurious and the scent has become one of my favorites! My hair is so shiny and soft and I will NEVER go back to traditional shampoos.

The lather that comes from this bar is absolutely amazing! It doesn't smell like coffee to me. It has more of an herbal scent. Once my hair dries, the scent is gone.

I have long, curly, dry hair and this bar and a rinse with ACV is enough to take care of tangles and leave my hair super soft!

Having naturally dark brown hair I couldn't tell if it did anything but I must say that it lathered well, made my hair feel moisturized and smelled delicious. It's good with any hair length (I started using it with waist length hair and now have shoulder length). I never had any issues with tangles at all. It was my first time using a shampoo bar and I'm definitely excited to try more. The bar can easily last 4 months. I'm so happy to have tried it!

Coffee lovers must try!

I do love the smell of coffee and seeing as how I'm now a brunette, it was just a matter of time before I ordered this one. This is a great smelling bar. I liked the way it lathered and how my hair felt afterwards. The scent lingers which is something I want my shampoo to do. There is a great cinnamon smell which makes this a wonderful holiday bar in addition to any other time of the year.

This is my second-favorite Apple Valley shampoo bar, Lavender Buttermilk being my favorite. The Latte Brunette bar lathers wonderfully and leaves my hair sweet smelling and very clean. My hair doesn't feel quite as conditioned as it does with the Lavender Buttermilk bar, but it still dries smooth and manageable. I can't attest to whether it makes my dark brown hair any darker though because I'm constantly switching this bar out with the Lavender Buttermilk bar and haven't given it a true trial run on the color.

This bar doesn't really have any coffee scent but it does smell heavenly so there's really not much disappointment there.

Love this shampoo! Just a couple of swipes along the length of my hair and I have oodles of lather. I use an apple cider vinegar rinse and my hair feels clean and soft. I allow the shampoo bar to dry between uses and keep it in my lingerie drawer!

Love this bar. Works great with my wavy hair (have to use the vinegar rinse too) and the scent is wonderful. I bought it again!

Love the smell of this bar, is very mild but still you can smell it through out the day, Leaves my hair soft and shiny and I have also noticed it doesn't break and fall as much

This is my first time ever using shampoo bars and to my surprise my hair is amazing now!! I have black straight and thick long hair and severe allergies to preservatives and some chemicals, so I needed something that will work for my allergies but leave my hair nice looking and this is it! definitely coming back to get more.

I have dark, semi-curly hair that must be conditioned well or it is a frizzy mess. However, since stopping the use of chemical shampoos and using this bar, I have not used a conditioner once. As others have mentioned, after washing and rinsing my hair, it feels almost squeaky clean...too clean...needs conditioner. BUT, I guess that is just the feel of clean hair, not chemicaly stripped hair because once it is dry, it is soooo soft. I think it may still need a once-in-a-while deep condition, but not so far. I did purchase the Jojoba oil and put a dab on before drying, not because it needs it, but I'm experimenting with different uses for the oil. Oh, and my skin loves it too and some how gives a closer shave than shaving cream. I'm hooked!

I love this bar. I have course, dry, curly 3c/4a hair and this bar leaves it clean, moisturized and ready to receive my conditioner and leave ins. Again...I love this bar.

I have very fine, thin & long medium brown hair. Usually it just "hangs" there. After using this bar just once, I am so happy with the difference in my hair! It feel so soft & healthy. It was the first time in years that I did not follow with conditioner.

I started switching to an organic lifestyle almost a year ago. I shopped with one company until now. They have great products but when it comes to shampoo I will forever shop here!!! With their shampoo you would sometimes have to mix baking soda with it because the organic oils mixed with hard water would create calcium deposits on the hair making it look oily and shiny. Apple Valley Natural Shampoo bars, however, do not do this. I have not added baking soda once. It Lathers so much easier and I find I don't have to do a vinegar rinse as often. 6 Stars for this shampoo.

I've been using the no poo method for about 6 months and haven't been too impressed by it. I have oily/thin hair and it didn't do much to help it out. After using this bar the first time by hair is shinier, smoother and with less frizz. I LOVE the scent (way better than baking soda and vinegar :) I have been using my vinegar rinse every other day, but look forward to trying the herbal vinegar rinse one day soon!

I love this soap. It doesn't sting my eyes.. this soap lathers up unlike other shampoo soaps Ive used from other companies. I'm anxious to try the other kinds as well.

My hair is dark blonde/light brown, but in the summer time it really lightens up and I don't care for that, so I thought I'd see if this would help. So far, so good, and it smells pretty too. I was using cocoa powder to try to darken my hair without going in for a color. It worked okay, but it left me craving chocolate all day long... I love how sudsy this bar gets. It took a little bit for me to adjust to washing my hair with a bar, and for my hair to adapt to the goodness I was throwing it's way, but now that that is over I couldn't be happier. It would take a lot to get me to go back to commercial shampoos.

I've only had this bar for a couple of months (and its my first shampoo bar at that), but I am never going back to regular shampoo again! My hair feels so soft and healthy using this bar, and it does wonders for my scalp! I recently cut off all my dry/dyed hair and got a pixie, and I'm growing it out to my natural medium brown color. The latte brunette seems to keep my natural color a slightly deeper tint than normal. I love the way it looks! I have hard water but I keep a water bottle filled with filtered water in the shower and shampoo my hair with it. It works like a charm: no build up or residue on my hair! I use an ACV rinse when I feel like I might need it and once in a while some argan oil and I'm done. I only have to shampoo every other day or so, I just rinse with water and massage my scalp in the shower on the other days to refresh and my hair STILL turns out great! (No greasy mess for me anymore from over washing.) After rinsing out the shampoo suds in the shower, my hair does feel a little too clean (like it needs a little conditioner) just while it's still wet, but when it dries I feel like I have the softest, most luxurious hair ever. The latte brunette scent is simply scrumptious--I haven't even bothered to try any of the other scents! It's definitely more of a lighter "latte" scent as opposed to a strong "coffee" scent. It's also great as a body bar, but I prefer AVNS body-only bars, as they are super-moisturizing.

This has a pleasant scent, but not a strong coffee smell like I expected. It lathers wonderfully and my skin feels great, though!

This is the first shampoo bar I've ever tried. So far I'm loving it- the scent is lovely, rich & refreshing at the same time! I love how quickly it creates suds. Other natural shampoos I've used have been impossible to distribute throughout my long hair (unless I use half the bottle!) but this bar is easy to distribute. I'd definitely buy it again!

I hate to say I am not enthralled with my bar. It is a very good quality bar, it does it's job well and is solid and long lasting. As a disclaimer, I have had this soap bar for almost a year, so that could have something to do with it, but I am not excited about the scent. It is very nice, but I hoped for something amazing and kind of coffee scented. I just smell flowers. I sniff it every time I use it hoping it will surprise me, but it just a nice smell. Secondly, of course I KNEW it was for brunettes and was made of coffee, etc, but I didn't anticipate the very dark brown color that comes off on my arms and legs and in my shower. I do use it on my hair some and it works, and it does wash off almost as quickly as I see the streaks, but it is a little disconcerting and I hate to think that it will make my shower dingy. I am looking forward to using this bar up and moving on to something else.

I love everything about this bar. I love the smell, I love how it darkens my hair, I love how smooth my hair looks (no more frizzies!) I sometimes rinse with vinegar and add a dab of argan oil. That's it. My daughter tried it on her very curly hair and it works beautifully.

At first I was unsure if I enjoyed the scent. After a week, I'm loving it. Works great as a shampoo which I was also skeptical about with my long hair. Like another reviewer I use apple cider vinegar as a conditioning rinse. Works great.

This is the bar to use for that special night out or just when you want to pamper yourself. WOW, what a scent it is wonderful.
