Masala Chai Shampoo & Body Bar

Reminiscent of the exotic beverage from India, our Masala Chai shampoo bar is made with black tea and softly scented with cloves, cardamom, ginger, anise, orange, black pepper, and cinnamon. Black tea contains vitamin C and E along with polyphenols which protect your hair and make it shiny. Tea also helps with hair growth, regulates oil production, and serves as an anti-inflammatory which helps with issues like dandruff and itchy scalp. You'll enjoy the rich, fluffy lather and delicious scent of this moisturizing shampoo bar. This bar is now lighter in color as shown in one of the photos as we now infuse the water with tea vs using a pre-mixed tea as in the past.

If you've never used a solid shampoo bar in your hair, you may wonder "how do I do that?" It's easy. Just get your hair wet, take the bar and rub it all over your scalp and hair. Put the bar down and work it into a wonderful lather. You may find that the first time you use a shampoo/body bar in your hair it feels different. Using natural ingredients is not going to give you the same feeling chemically laden choices do because the natural oils are not being stripped away. In addition, your hair may require a transition process before it is fully free of all the other chemicals and residues from prior hair products. 1. Wet your hair thoroughly.
2. Rub the bar directly over your scalp and hair a few times.
3. Set the bar down and work it into a rich lather with your fingers. Massage your scalp, then rinse well.
4. Follow with one of our Hair Rinses to balance your hair and scalp. It's an important step, especially when you're first starting out with natural shampoo bars. You can use it less often over time.
5. Store your bar on a draining soap dish so it can dry between uses.
Tip: Your hair may feel different for the first few washes while it adjusts to natural ingredients. Give it a couple of weeks.

Saponified oils of organic coconut, organic olive, organic sustainable palm, castor bean, grapeseed, organic shea butter, organic jojoba. Organic black tea, organic cane sugar, organic honey, organic vanilla bean, organic spices of cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger root, and black pepper. Rosemary oil extract, and essential oils of orange, clove, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, cardamom, and anise.

Shipping: Orders ship within 1–3 business days (it may take a little longer during the holidays). We ship with USPS, and occasionally UPS, and you’ll get a tracking number by email once your order ships. We currently ship within the U.S. only.

Free shipping on orders over $45. Under $45, orders under 13 oz ship First Class for a flat $5, and all other orders ship for a flat $8.

Local pickup: available at our boutique. Your order is usually ready in 2–3 days, and we’ll email you when it’s ready.

Returns: Because our products are handmade personal care items, we can’t accept returns on opened or unopened products unless there’s a defect.

Damaged or wrong item? Contact us within 3 days with photos and details. If it was our error or it was damaged in shipping, we’ll send a replacement.
