Buttermilk, a natural pro-biotic full of lactic acid, is found in many beauty products and is fabulous for softening, brightening and exfoliating skin. Lactic acid is also used to treat age spots and freckles and to tighten skin. Olive oil, organic jojoba oil, and mango butter, with their emollient properties, round out this beauty treatment for your hair and body. Lavender has countless benefits for skin and scalp due to its antiseptic and anti-fungal properties. It is used to treat skin conditions such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis, and other inflammations. The vanilla adds a warm, creamy sweetness to the lavender essential oil making this a calming, dreamy, unforgettable scent.
Ingredients: saponified oils of organic coconut, organic sustainable palm, castor bean, organic olive, organic jojoba, and mango seed butter, buttermilk, rosemary oil extract, and essential oils of Vanilla, Eucalyptus, Estragon, fragrance.
*Please be aware that this shampoo bar does contain a blend of pure essential oils plus less than .01% of a phthalate-free fragrance oil too boost the natural scent, find out more. As this soap contains a synthetic fragrance it is now being DISCONTINUED, once it's sold out it will not be coming back. If we can create a similar scent profile, or a scent that we think is reminiscent of this soap with just essential oils, we will bring it back. But the new version will be 100% natural, all of the same base ingredients, but with a slightly difference scent.

If you've never used a solid shampoo bar in your hair, you may wonder "how do I do that?" It's easy. Just get your hair wet, take the bar and rub it all over your scalp and hair. Put the bar down and work it into a wonderful lather. You may find that the first time you use a shampoo/body bar in your hair it feels different. Using natural ingredients is not going to give you the same feeling chemically laden choices do because the natural oils are not being stripped away. In addition, your hair may require a transition process before it is fully free of all the other chemicals and residues from prior hair products. You can read more about this transition process HERE.

Best Lather
I was cautious at first about trying this one. I normally can't stand the smell of lavender essential oil at all so I wasn't sure how I would like this. Oh my goodness, this one is one of my favorites; a top 3 to be exact. It lathers better than any. I had no problem brushing my long hair and it made my hair feel and look great.

Great lather, great smell!
I don't know why, but this bar seems to lather the best out of the several varieties that I've tried from AVNS. Its scent also seems to last in my hair, which is awesome! Even after the ACV spritzes, you can still smell lavender. I think this is going to become my go-to bar.

Luxurious locks!
I have long fine hair, without the use of "product" my hair is often just limp... this bar gives a wonderful result.. My clean dry hair has body and feels amazing! I used the Lavender Buttermilk on top and used the Jojoba Silk on the ends with a luxurious result!

The Perfect Shampoo Bar for Me!
To me, this shampoo bar is perfect in every way for my fine,thick hair. It lathers wonderfully, smells delicious, leaves my hair feeling conditioned, and gives my hair lots of volume and manageability when dry. I didn't even have flyaways or static in my hair while using this shampoo this winter! I purchased samples of almost every shampoo bar Apple Valley makes, and this one is my favorite.

Great for thinning/thin hair!
So I have female pattern hair loss to where scalp is starting to show, even though I have wavy/curly/poofy hair type. I use this shampoo bar and let it sit on my scalp for a few minutes while I wash up. I don't know what it is about this formula but this is the only bar that makes my hair look and feel the thickest and I've tried all kinds of shampoo bars even from here! All of them have been put aside and I live for this one never to be changed! Great stuff and the scent is awesome too!

My favorite bar!
This is my favorite of all the shampoo bars. I love the scent and it seems to make my skin even softer than the other bars. I also use it on my hair. I bought several bars to give away as Christmas gifts.

Wonderful smell, works with semi-hard water too
I love the smell of this bar. I've been using this shampoo body bar for nearly two months now, and I feel my hair is more manageable. I read somewhere on this site that you shouldn't use it with hard water, which I have, but I use it anyway. Our water is filtered some, so I don't think its completely all hard water. I was hoping for a more luscious feel for my hair, but I think I don't get that due to the semi-hard water I have. Also, when I use the bar to do a quick wipe of my private lady parts (just a quick surface brush, not washing inside) my lady area stings afterward. Not sure the reason why.

Heaven!
I LOVE this shampoo bar! I tried it and only had a week transition from shampoo to this. I love the smell - it is just indescribable. It makes my bathroom smell great too! I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars though because of the fragrance added. I know and trust that it is a minute amount, but I will wait until there isn't any to repurchase. Love AVNS for being upfront about it. I want this in the jojoba oil too - it's that good!
