Buttermilk, a natural pro-biotic full of lactic acid, is found in many beauty products and is fabulous for softening, brightening and exfoliating skin. Lactic acid is also used to treat age spots and freckles and to tighten skin. Olive oil, organic jojoba oil, and mango butter, with their emollient properties, round out this beauty treatment for your hair and body. Lavender has countless benefits for skin and scalp due to its antiseptic and anti-fungal properties. It is used to treat skin conditions such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis, and other inflammations. The vanilla adds a warm, creamy sweetness to the lavender essential oil making this a calming, dreamy, unforgettable scent.
Ingredients: saponified oils of organic coconut, organic sustainable palm, castor bean, organic olive, organic jojoba, and mango seed butter, buttermilk, rosemary oil extract, and essential oils of Vanilla, Eucalyptus, Estragon, fragrance.
*Please be aware that this shampoo bar does contain a blend of pure essential oils plus less than .01% of a phthalate-free fragrance oil too boost the natural scent, find out more. As this soap contains a synthetic fragrance it is now being DISCONTINUED, once it's sold out it will not be coming back. If we can create a similar scent profile, or a scent that we think is reminiscent of this soap with just essential oils, we will bring it back. But the new version will be 100% natural, all of the same base ingredients, but with a slightly difference scent.

If you've never used a solid shampoo bar in your hair, you may wonder "how do I do that?" It's easy. Just get your hair wet, take the bar and rub it all over your scalp and hair. Put the bar down and work it into a wonderful lather. You may find that the first time you use a shampoo/body bar in your hair it feels different. Using natural ingredients is not going to give you the same feeling chemically laden choices do because the natural oils are not being stripped away. Excessive Hair Loss Gone!
I have never seen anything like it! While I know my female pattern hair loss isn't curable, I am THRILLED that I'm back to losing a normal to below normal amount of hair a day! I haven't had this experience since the nightmare began in 2006! I know from research lavender is really good for hair loss and I'm thinking so is the buttermilk. This bar smells sooooooooooo devine and leaves my hair and scalp clean and refreshed, hair very silky. Good bye Chagrin Valley! :D

HAD TO SAY!
I know I already wrote a review, but I HAVE to say I hope this shampoo bar never ever goes away! I have never been able to achieve silky hair and a very happy calm scalp with my hair type and problematic dermatitis scalp. And the smell.... This IS truly the only all in one bar I have ever found, and I've tried many at Chagrin Valley: hair silky and feels full and nurished, scalp calm and feels very clean... and the scent! Please don't ever discontinue this one!!

OMG! Best shampoo bar!
Better than Chagrin Valley! OMG! I used the lavender buttermilk shampoo bar and WOW! The scent is heavenly mix of lavender and a hint of vanilla and lingers in your hair when dry (which is what I want). And it lathers great, makes my hair very soft and very shiny and full, and my normally angry at everything scalp feels great! Definitely a staple going forth!!

My Favorite Shampoo Bar
I used to have a dry itchy scalp and flat hair when I use to use conventional shampoo and conditioner. I was always searching for the perfect product for my hair. Now all I use is the lavender buttermilk shampoo bar and no conditioner. My hair is no longer flat and now has body. My itchy flaky scalp is gone. It keeps my hair soft and bouncy. I just ordered two bars. This shampoo bar is definitely a staple in my beauty regimen.

Best Shampoo Bars Ever
This shampoo bar detangles your hair leaving it smooth and silky like a dream. It leaves your hair moisturizer instead of stripped like regular shampoo and lasts a long time. My first bar, the chocolate silk shampoo bar which is now discontinued lasted me four months and I use it every other day or every three days. You could use this daily without drying out your hair. Although the bar itself smells strong, the scent it leaves in your hair is mild at most and can easily be covered by the scent of your conditioner or styling products. This is my third shampoo bar from this company and I am now a shampoo bar addict for life. No other brand can compare, not even Chagrin Valley.

Delightful!
I’m not one for a strong lavender or sweet scent so I will admit to being a little shy about trying this one. However, I was pleasantly surprised and so was my hair! My hair is super shiny and conditioned. With regular use, I noticed that my hair’s natural colors and highlights seem vibrant. My sensitive skin is also happy! I have had a lot of good hair days since switching to Apple Valley Natural Shampoo bars.
