Buttermilk, a natural pro-biotic full of lactic acid, is found in many beauty products and is fabulous for softening, brightening and exfoliating skin. Lactic acid is also used to treat age spots and freckles and to tighten skin. Olive oil, organic jojoba oil, and mango butter, with their emollient properties, round out this beauty treatment for your hair and body. Lavender has countless benefits for skin and scalp due to its antiseptic and anti-fungal properties. It is used to treat skin conditions such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis, and other inflammations. The vanilla adds a warm, creamy sweetness to the lavender essential oil making this a calming, dreamy, unforgettable scent.
Ingredients: saponified oils of organic coconut, organic sustainable palm, castor bean, organic olive, organic jojoba, and mango seed butter, buttermilk, rosemary oil extract, and essential oils of Vanilla, Eucalyptus, Estragon, fragrance.
*Please be aware that this shampoo bar does contain a blend of pure essential oils plus less than .01% of a phthalate-free fragrance oil too boost the natural scent, find out more. As this soap contains a synthetic fragrance it is now being DISCONTINUED, once it's sold out it will not be coming back. If we can create a similar scent profile, or a scent that we think is reminiscent of this soap with just essential oils, we will bring it back. But the new version will be 100% natural, all of the same base ingredients, but with a slightly difference scent.

If you've never used a solid shampoo bar in your hair, you may wonder "how do I do that?" It's easy. Just get your hair wet, take the bar and rub it all over your scalp and hair. Put the bar down and work it into a wonderful lather. You may find that the first time you use a shampoo/body bar in your hair it feels different. Using natural ingredients is not going to give you the same feeling chemically laden choices do because the natural oils are not being stripped away. In addition, your hair may require a transition process before it is fully free of all the other chemicals and residues from prior hair products. You can read more about this transition process HERE.

The Best facial Soap
I know it says body and shampoo bar but I use it for my FACE!!! I put it on before bed and leave it on overnight and it evens out my skin tone. All the redness is gone and my face looks new! It smells great too!!!

Love it!
Love the lavender buttermilk bar! It smells so nice and lathers wonderfully! I just started using it, but I'm anxious to see what it does for my hair over a period of time!

I just love lavender
I'm a real lavender lover and had to try this shampoo bar. Already upon opening the box, I could smell the lovely scent. It lathers up so well and really made my hair feel soft and manageable. I could even smell it almost till the next day. Definitely have a winner here.

One of my favorites!
Once our family switched to all natural soaps we went crazy trying all the different options available from Apple Valley! I have color treated, fine hair- medium volume. This soap and the White China Silk were the best for my hair out of all the ones I tried. Others required an ACV rinse after a few days as my hair got heavy and didn't appear as clean. My two favorites are the perfect combination of moisture/clean so my hair isn't dry or crazy staticky but looks shiny and has great body.

Smells Heavenly
This is the best smelling soap/shampoo ever. It actually lasts too. I was also impressed with the service overall with this company. Received my shipment fast and nicely packaged.

I adore this bar! I use it as a shampoo (needing it only every 2-3 days) and as a body cleanser. The smell is wonderful. I adore all the bars I have tried, but this one is definitely my favorite!

Favorite Bar ( I think)
I have tried almost all the bars, and this is my favorite- but I sure love Latte Brunette, and China Silk, and... Your bars are amazing, as are the rest of your products. I am addicted! Thank you for making these great products!

Ah, clean hair again.
I've done no-poo, some-poo and then decided to use these bars after a review on Keeper of the Home. This bar is fantastic. I ran out of my last order of bars and had to use the leftover "natural" liquid shampoo in my bathroom. My hair was awful. When I got my next order of Apple Valley Soap, (which was so nicely packaged, by the way) I decided to use this Lavender Buttermilk bar first because it smells so good! My hair was back to normal after one very thorough shampoo. Beautiful bar! I'm so happy I was told about these wonderful soap bars and this wonderful company I can trust!
