Organic Herbal Salve

I found the Apple Valley Natural Soap company through the post on this salve at Keeper of the Home blog. Based on that post and the reviews here, I bought two, one for the house and one for my purse. That was a good decision! We've only had it for a few days, but have already used it on bumps, bug bites, scratches and sun burned cheeks. It has soothed everything so far! Great to replace all the commercial anti-itch and "boo-boo" creams. I really appreciate knowing that what's in it is healing and helping my kids. It smells nice, too!

This salve is amazing! Without a doubt the best we've found. My husband's hands get so rough during the winter with dry, red skin and deep, painful cracks. We've tried several creams, salves and lotions with little or no result. This past winter I purchased Appke Valley's Organic Herbal Salve with quite frankly low expectations. Oh my, was I happily surprised! Every night I rubbed this salve into my husband's hands. Within three days, his hands begin to heal. Within a week, they looked and felt amazing. On the days he worked outside, I would do a preventative treatment with the salve. Now that summer is upon is, I'm using it for scrapes, bug bites and all those skin issues that summer brings. My only (and only) complaint is the smell; it's a little strong. But who cares? It's worth it to have a natural and quick healing! I've recommended this and other AVS products to others.

I have used this salve mostly to treat sunburns. I was amazed at how it soothed the burn and relieved the discomfort, and also how quickly the burn healed. Also, I noticed there was little to no pealing of the skin.

I have rather sensitive skin which is irritated by quite a few things, including many natural ones. I tried a new naturally scented bar soap, and my hands were itching within a couple minutes. After 10 minutes of itching and faint red spots, I decided to try applying the herbal salve, and the itching stopped almost immediately and the redness quickly went away. I've also seen this work well on other rashes, including diaper rash. And because of the olive oil base, it moisturizes nicely too. It has a very "green" scent, but it doesn't linger long.

My husband works in a "uniform" which is scratchy and washed somewhere with who knows what. He complained of a rash on both lower legs. Viola almost gone with nightly application. Thank you

Great on burns, better than aloe because it's almost impossible to find pure aloe in the stores anymore. We also love it on cuticles, small irritations on facial skin, and have even liked it on acne.

This is my second purchase of the Apple Valley Organic Herbal Salve. I was quite surprised to find from my first purchase that the salve worked quickly to heal, soothe and protect my skin from abrasions, burns, itchy skin, etc . We use it daily and will always keep a little tub of it handy.

My baby has had the most stubborn, awful looking rash for several months--swollen red blisters and open sores. Already the rash has stumped two doctors and has been resistant to a variety of prescription topical and oral treatments. This salve has been the only thing that has actually made a difference. After applying it at every diaper change for two days, it is much less red, the sores are closing and the blisters are shrinking. I can't wait to see what other miracles this salve can work (and I'm buying several more pots so that I always have it on hand!).
