Lavender Buttermilk Shampoo & Body Bar

This shampoo and body bar is at the top of my list! It balances out my frizzy, wavy. long grey hair and adds beautiful shine, softness and smoothness to my curls! My scalp has never felt better also.

Makes my hair have nice curls that aren't frizzy. Not a fan of the smell but otherwise love.

Nice lather and scent

I accidentally bought this thinking it was a body bar. When I used it it was so nice on my skin I may accidentally buy it again!

It's an amazing soap! But which ones do you have that aren't? Haven't found one yet!!

This is a great shampoo bar! I love the scent and it lathers really well. I've been using shampoo bars from a different company for years and I feel like this one is easier to use and it leaves my hair softer and silkier. Definitely recommend!

In my effort to cut back on plastic use, I started searching for bathroom products that were plastic free. What I found is that this shampoo bar is far better than any shampoo product I had been using. My hair and scalp feel better than they have for years. I do follow up with a vinegar- water rinse as I had seen recommended. I'll never return to the other products I had been using. This particular bar, lavender buttermilk, has a fresh scent and lathers quickly. Highly recommended.

This was my first shampoo bar purchase which was due to the excellent reviews. I really do like it a lot. The down side is I can smell the non-essential oil added fragrance which is not a bad thing just not preferred, though it won't keep me from buying it again.
It preforms well in my fine, thin hair. The lather is great is cleans well, my hair is so soft and shiny. I do not need to use any styling products or heating products. Just a drop of Argan oil to the ends and then wide brush comb. I went back to my hairstylist after her not seeing me for about 2 mos. 6-8 wks of shampoo bars usage and she said the entire structure of my hair has changed. She could not believe how much body/ wave was in my hair. She even mentioned that my hair strands were thicker coming out from my scalp. As a kid I always had a lot of wave in my hair then these latter years it was so much straighter. Love that these bars are helping me have my natural hair back as well as helping my hair strands to grow in thicker.

Pleasant smell. It was a surprise to realize I was able to smell it while I was rinsing my hair. And after a long day with a pony tail, my hair still smells.
I will repurchase this one.

Ive used this on my scalp before. I got cancer, had chemo and was bald. Hair is back and so am I. Lavender is very soothing. I'm in heaven with the feel of my scalp and look of my hair! And the smell is lovely and stays in my hair. Hope it's never discontinued!

This bar works really well and the smell is heavenly. If the scent could be stronger, all the better.

My hair feels so soft, airy, and nourished after just one use! I usually add oil to my hair as soon as it's dry to re-nourish and moisturize it, but it felt unnecessary after using this soap. Plus, my husband has complimented the scent several times. Thank you!

One of my favorite scents. I love that this product is safe as it's made with natural ingredients. It is lathering and moisturizing and makes a great body bar for showering but also for hand washing at your sink.

This is the BEST Shampoo Bar EVER! I have fine hair that gets oily at the roots and dry at the ends. This shampoo bar cleans the scalp well but does not dry out the ends. And it smells amazing. I have used so many brands of shampoo bars and have bad luck with most of them. Some of the very well known natural shampoo bar makers do not work on my hair at all. I want to add that I do have hard water. I have to scrub my shower down twice a week and I still have a soap scum problem from the hard water BUT this shampoo bar does work for me as long as I use a vinegar rinse. I can not say enough good things about this bar.

I love the smell of this soap... I think I will try the oil that goes with it as well. It leaves my hair moisturized and manageable.

Oh the smell is heavenly and the product works great. What more can you ask for???

Lavender Buttermilk and Bamboo are my two favorite scents that I have tried. (least favorite is the Bella Rose) Lavender Buttermilk not only has a soothing scent, but left my hair so soft and full of body. Not an easy task for fine, dry hair. As well, my kids keep stealing this one from me for their hair. My daughter says it's because it makes her smell like a princess!

I've become sort of biased to Apple Valley products. So far I like everything I've tried. I like this one but wish it had a bit more of a lavender smell (just a personal thing). It does smell good though and lathers well with a long lasting smell. I will be buying it again.

I was cautious at first about trying this one. I normally can't stand the smell of lavender essential oil at all so I wasn't sure how I would like this. Oh my goodness, this one is one of my favorites; a top 3 to be exact. It lathers better than any. I had no problem brushing my long hair and it made my hair feel and look great.

I don't know why, but this bar seems to lather the best out of the several varieties that I've tried from AVNS. Its scent also seems to last in my hair, which is awesome! Even after the ACV spritzes, you can still smell lavender. I think this is going to become my go-to bar.

I have long fine hair, without the use of "product" my hair is often just limp... this bar gives a wonderful result.. My clean dry hair has body and feels amazing! I used the Lavender Buttermilk on top and used the Jojoba Silk on the ends with a luxurious result!

To me, this shampoo bar is perfect in every way for my fine,thick hair. It lathers wonderfully, smells delicious, leaves my hair feeling conditioned, and gives my hair lots of volume and manageability when dry. I didn't even have flyaways or static in my hair while using this shampoo this winter!

I purchased samples of almost every shampoo bar Apple Valley makes, and this one is my favorite.

So I have female pattern hair loss to where scalp is starting to show, even though I have wavy/curly/poofy hair type. I use this shampoo bar and let it sit on my scalp for a few minutes while I wash up.

I don't know what it is about this formula but this is the only bar that makes my hair look and feel the thickest and I've tried all kinds of shampoo bars even from here! All of them have been put aside and I live for this one never to be changed! Great stuff and the scent is awesome too!

This is my favorite of all the shampoo bars. I love the scent and it seems to make my skin even softer than the other bars. I also use it on my hair. I bought several bars to give away as Christmas gifts.

I love the smell of this bar. I've been using this shampoo body bar for nearly two months now, and I feel my hair is more manageable. I read somewhere on this site that you shouldn't use it with hard water, which I have, but I use it anyway. Our water is filtered some, so I don't think its completely all hard water. I was hoping for a more luscious feel for my hair, but I think I don't get that due to the semi-hard water I have. Also, when I use the bar to do a quick wipe of my private lady parts (just a quick surface brush, not washing inside) my lady area stings afterward. Not sure the reason why.

I LOVE this shampoo bar! I tried it and only had a week transition from shampoo to this. I love the smell - it is just indescribable. It makes my bathroom smell great too! I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars though because of the fragrance added. I know and trust that it is a minute amount, but I will wait until there isn't any to repurchase. Love AVNS for being upfront about it. I want this in the jojoba oil too - it's that good!

I have never seen anything like it! While I know my female pattern hair loss isn't curable, I am THRILLED that I'm back to losing a normal to below normal amount of hair a day! I haven't had this experience since the nightmare began in 2006! I know from research lavender is really good for hair loss and I'm thinking so is the buttermilk. This bar smells sooooooooooo devine and leaves my hair and scalp clean and refreshed, hair very silky. Good bye Chagrin Valley! :D

I know I already wrote a review, but I HAVE to say I hope this shampoo bar never ever goes away! I have never been able to achieve silky hair and a very happy calm scalp with my hair type and problematic dermatitis scalp. And the smell.... This IS truly the only all in one bar I have ever found, and I've tried many at Chagrin Valley: hair silky and feels full and nurished, scalp calm and feels very clean... and the scent! Please don't ever discontinue this one!!

Better than Chagrin Valley! OMG! I used the lavender buttermilk shampoo bar and WOW! The scent is heavenly mix of lavender and a hint of vanilla and lingers in your hair when dry (which is what I want). And it lathers great, makes my hair very soft and very shiny and full, and my normally angry at everything scalp feels great! Definitely a staple going forth!!
