This shampoo bar works best for people with straight hair and/or oily scalp and skin.
Ingredients: saponified oils of organic coconut, organic sustainable palm, organic olive, castor bean, grapeseed, and organic jojoba, rosemary oil extract, and essential oils of lime, scotch pine, fir needle, cedarwood, and sweet birch.

If you've never used a solid shampoo bar in your hair, you may wonder "how do I do that?" It's easy. Just get your hair wet, take the bar and rub it all over your scalp and hair. Put the bar down and work it into a wonderful lather. You may find that the first time you use a shampoo/body bar in your hair it feels different. Using natural ingredients is not going to give you the same feeling chemically laden choices do because the natural oils are not being stripped away. I'm a repeat customer . I love Apple Valley Natural Shampoo Bars . I get a variety , and enjoy all the scents . Shampoo Bars need to be experienced . They are fantastic , work great , leave your hair clean and fresh . Another Winner !

fantastic scent, but hard to rinse
I have tried samples of several Apple Valley shampoo bars, and I liked the scent of this one best, so I ordered a full size. However, they are not joking that this is for oily hair! It is very drying and hard to rinse from hair with not-very-hard water. good for the body, but would recommend for short, extremely oily hair only. AVNS Response: It will be difficult to rinse out any shampoo bar unless you have water that is softened with a working water softener. Hard water - even a little hard - and shampoo bars - are a bad combination.

Best for smoothing hair and combating hard water
So after trying almost every shampoo bar AVNS has I have decided this is the best one for hard water. I do have a shower filter which is pretty much a must with hard water but I find the bars with the added butters get heavy quickly and require more frequent acv rinses. I also find this bar does an excellent job of smoothing down my fly-away strands. Plus, I absolutely love the scent!

Good Clarifying Bar
For scent, I'd give this bar five stars. It lathers nicely and smells great. I took away one bar because unlike any of the other AVNS shampoo bars I've tried, it doesn't do anything special to my hair. It left it clean, but I did feel I needed an ACV rinse because this one was less conditioning than others I've tried. Like the title of my review says, it's a good clarifier, but it didn't leave me in raptures the way some of the others did. Typically my hair stays in good shape for about four days after a wash and this one came really close to that. I will definitely keep using it, but not for every wash.

A bit of citrus
This is a great all around bar for everyone. It has a slight citrus to it. Nice!

Simple, soft, clean hair
I was intrigued with the idea of Shampoo Bars, but was skeptical that they would work. I am so happy I took the leap and bought this! I am enamored withe simplicity of a bar, and that I can use it on my hair and body. I LOVE the scent, and it lathers so well and leaves my hair so clean and soft. The soap is a lovely woody scent, good for men but also lovely for this nature girl.

I've finally found it!
Ever since I began unloading toxins from our lives, I've been searching for a "shampoo" that would work for my 16 year old son. We've tried (bless his heart) the no-poo, the baking soda method, and diluted Dr. Bronner's. None of them made his hair look clean and I had all but given up on having his hair "look" clean without the toxic shampoos until I decided to try the Wild North Shampoo Bar. His hair FINALLY looks and feels fabulous (and so does mine!
